American English uses a lot of idioms in Business to express different types of situations and feelings in a metaphorical way. Spring is in the air, so the beach and water are not too far away. I've given you some water related idioms to get you ready for the beach. I also have a more diabolical idea in mind. Understanding idioms is a clever way to appear to understand English at a more than surface level. When you sprinkle the conversation with an idiom, people get the sense that you are speaking their language and that you understand their culture. Try one and impress an American colleague, but practice here first!
