Summer whining, "It's soooo hot." Ok. "It's cold, it's horrible outside." hmhmm. Where is your favourite temperature found inside a cave, or on top of an active volcano? Complaining about the weather is human nature. I haven't bothered. I've offered some summer idioms and some insights about vacation time. In Heidelberg where the old city's Hauptstrasse is a mere mile long, I have seen people smiling awkwardly carried along by tuk tuk bikers crawling through the crowded pedestrian zone; walking would have definitely been easier, but a tuk tuk makes a great vacation photo. I've seen a selfie stick holder trying to catch the perfect angle of the castle with himself centered in front of it as the sun was setting, while desperately trying to make sure no one else got in the photo. I've had great dinners and great summer wine. What are your memories of summer?

The answers: A drop in the ocean is a small amount compared to what's needed. A fish out of water is an outsider. That's deep means something is very emotional or psychologically challenging. In over your head means you are overwhelmed. To go with the flow is to go along with the group. Water under the bridge is something that is no long an issue.
Hope you have enjoyed your vacation as well as the summer. -B
