Gender has become political. Women are trying once again to break down the barriers of Sexist Language that creates gender inequality. Gender identity is also very complicated. Gender is fluid and not bianary you must be x or y as some people believe. There are many shades of gray between and what people are at birth and what they identify as. Some people are beginning to embrace the gray area and shed light on it for all to see. There is more than male or female, there is androgeny, homosexuality, as well as genderqueer to name a few. If you are interested in learning these terms and others please read this article: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transgender-gender-identity-terms-glossary/ which has a small video clip. When you write a text there may be people who do not respond to the use of he/she. It may seem old fashioned or just too complicated in a longer text. The use of s/he is more acceptable, and there are other options. You could use a gender neutral term or you could not use gender at all. Read this article to see what I mean.
Thank you for reading and if you like it, don't be shy let me know! The answers: her, she, she. The answers: He, he, his, himself. The answers 3: Ne, nem, nemself. Leave me a message if it doesn't make sense and I'll try to clarify. I simplified, but if you're interested in all the neutral gender possibilities go to: https://genderneutralpronoun.wordpress.com/tag/ze-and-zir/
