Reviewing grammar can make anyone tense. Relax. I have a secret for you. Practicing the tenses can be as easy as doing the hokey pokey, the Macarena and Schuhplattler at the same time. Once your feet know the steps you can make advanced moves. Over the next few weeks, I’m going to point out how to use different tenses in a simple poster. I’m going to point out things like the fact that we can say, “I am looking forward to seeing you.” This means, at this very moment I am rubbing my hands together in anticipation and “I look forward to seeing you.” which is the simple present and states a fact, opinion, etc. Is there any real difference- NO! Just, don’t mix them together in something like, “I am look forward to seeing you.” Try “meet”. Do the same procedure, “I look forward ….”, or use the present continuous/progressive “I am looking...”
